Well, just like that the month of July has come and will be gone in just one more short week. Here at Liquid Catering, our staff has been so busy this summer that it seems as if it has been flying by! One event in particular that we always look forward to come July is Tapas & Tinis…the kick-off to Euphoria in September.
In case you are clueless on what Euphoria is, all you need to know is that it is Greenville’s premier food, wine, and music festival dedicated to enticing the senses, enlightening the spirit, educating the mind, and entertaining the soul. It is a highly anticipated weekend of events that includes a wide array of wine seminars, cooking demonstrations, multi-course dinners, live performances, and much more. As the official bar sponsor for the world-class festival, we start to get excited with planning early on. We tried to tell our interns from the get-go that this was a huge event for us…but also so much fun! We hope they had a blast helping out and getting to be in the midst of everything. Last Thursday’s Tapas & Tinis event was, as usual, the perfect start to Euphoria. Presented by TOWN Magazine and hosted at the Loft at Soby’s, the event brought in a full crowd ready to mingle and enjoy a taste of what’s to come in September. We served two specialty cocktails featuring Van Gogh Vodka, a Peachy Palmer & Vineyard Raspberry Sangria. Wine was provided by ONE Hope Wine where each type of wine is linked to a different charity. Guests loved the idea of drinking to their favorite cause! Last but not least, Greenville’s own Thomas Creek Brewery gave us some of their best to showcase.
We covered the Tinis part of the event, but the Tapas was something else entirely. Small plates were eaten as fast as they were created thanks to Performance Foodservice Corporate Executive Chef Derin Moore. It’s hard not to attend this event and sample everything. Aside from being in food and drink heaven, tunes on the roof were provided by Wine Down; an all-around great addition to Euphoria. We can’t wait to see them later this year.
We sincerely hope that everyone that came out to support the festival had an amazing time and were impressed by what we and other sponsors had to offer. It’s safe to say that we’re more than ready for the end of September. See you there!
